architektur.aktuell
12/2025
Release: 11. Dezember 2025
For architektur.aktuell , I spoke with Cologne-based architecture studio Aretz Dürr about their two projects F9 and H42. Both buildings serve as case studies for a broader discussion on contemporary urban development. In our conversation, we explored how Aretz Dürr understand the city of the future, which social, ecological and economic conditions shape it today, and what role modular architecture can play within this context. The resulting article reflects on modular construction not merely as a technical solution, but as an architectural response to the realities of our time.

Akt Magazine
Issue 06
Release: 20. November 2025
For the Belgian magazine Akt, I spoke with Leopold Banchini about Dar al Farina exploring the cultural layers, material sensibilities, and the narrative threads embedded in the project. I also interviewed Nóbrega Borghmans about the Paris apartment they transformed, uncovering the stories, textures, and intentions that shaped their renovation. From these conversations, I developed two pieces that delve into the spirit of both works and the ideas that lie behind them.

Identität durch Erzählung
Architektur zwischen Sprache, Bild und Diskurs
Guest Lecture, Alanus Hochschule, HS 25/26
In this lecture, I explored how architecture shapes identity through language, imagery, and discourse. I examined what happens to architecture when it is not narrated, the role images play in shaping our perception, and how it matters who tells stories to whom. Furthermore, I discussed the influence of magazines and digital platforms on how architecture is perceived, especially in relation to socially relevant topics within the built environment.
